Editing: How We Keep SuperPill's Medical Guides Accurate

Editing medical content isn’t just about grammar — it’s about safety. On SuperPill we run every drug guide, pharmacy review, and treatment article through a clear, repeatable editing process so the advice you read matches current standards. That helps you trust what you read and act on it with less worry.

How our editing process works

First, authors draft articles based on clinical sources, drug labels, and recent guidance. For pieces like our 2025 Prochlorperazine or Zithromax guides, writers pull dosing, interactions, and legal notes from official sources and product inserts.

Next, an editor checks facts: drug names, dosages, side effects, contraindications, and any safety warnings. We cross-check against regulators (FDA, EMA), major clinical guidelines, and reputable journals. If a change looks big — for example a new safety alert — we pause publication until a clinician reviews it.

Clinical review follows for high-risk topics. A pharmacist or clinician looks at the wording, flags anything misleading, and suggests plain-language fixes. That step matters most for dosing conversions (like Bystolic to Metoprolol), steroid tips (Prednisolone) or antibiotic alternatives (Flagyl, Zithromax).

Finally, we do a readability pass. Medical facts stay intact but the language gets simpler so non-medical readers can follow dosing advice, side effect signs, and when to contact a doctor.

How updates and corrections work

When new evidence or supply changes appear — like a 2025 drug shortage or a new online pharmacy review — we date-stamp updates and note what changed. Minor edits (typos, phrasing) get fixed fast. Major updates (new dosing, safety warnings) include an editor note explaining the reason.

We aim to update critical safety info immediately. For evolving topics — alternatives to medications or new supplement data — we schedule deeper reviews so the article reflects consensus, not a single new study.

Want to check if a page was updated? Look for the publication or last-updated date near the top of each article. If you need the version history, contact us and we’ll point you to the changes.

Spot an error? Tell us.

If you see a factual mistake, a broken link, or confusing instructions, use the Contact page or the report link on the article. Tell us which sentence is wrong, what source you rely on, and include a link if possible. We reply fast for safety issues and usually fix simple errors within 48 hours.

We don’t replace medical advice. Our edits aim to make information accurate and clear, but they don’t replace your doctor or pharmacist. If you have questions about your treatment, bring the article to your clinician — it helps them give better, faster answers.

Editing keeps content useful and safe. By explaining how we check facts, when we update, and how you can flag problems, we make SuperPill a place you can rely on for clearer, current medication information.
